Instructions:

  1. The stamping and painting will need to be done twice since this necklace is completed with the layered technique. Place the stamp onto an acrylic handle. Dampen a cosmetic sponge and remove as much water as possible. Pour a puddle of Traditional Raw Umber out on the palette paper. Pounce the sponge into the paint and then on a clean area of the palette. When you look at the bottom of the sponge it should be covered by paint but you should still be able to see the texture of the sponge. Pounce the sponge onto the stamp and stamp onto the mixed media paper. The details should be easily seen and not be too dark.
  2. Using a bubble palette, place about a dime size drop of True Ochre and Light Avocado into individual bubbles. Create a mixture of three parts water and one part Easy Float. Mix one part paint with three parts water or enough water to make the paint transparent. Completely mix the paint in the bubble palette so there is no solid pigment. Using a #2 round wash in the golden areas with thinned True Ochre and stem and leaves with thinned Light Avocado. Float to share the golden areas with True Ochre, then Traditional Raw Sienna.
  3.  When dry, cut the oval to fit into the bezel. If you have the die, you can run it through your machine. Manually cut out the flowers from second image.
  4.  Mix Ice Resin according to manufacturer’s instruction and pour it in to fill half of the bezel. Allow to harden overnight. Glue cut flowers into position. Sprinkle glitter randomly around the flowers. Mix additional Ice Resin and fill the bezel. Allow to harden overnight. Add charms, beads, and chain of choice using jump rings.

Since you already have a coat of varnish on the surface, it will clean up easily. Stamp all the images onto the surface.Using a bubble palette, place about a dime size drop of Antique Gold, Berry Red, Festive Green, and True Blue in individual bubbles. Mix one part paint with appx three parts water mixed with Easy Float. Completely mix the paint until it becomes transparent.
