Place the text stamp from the kit onto an acrylic handle. Dampen a cosmetic sponge and remove as much water as possible. Pour a puddle of Raw Sienna out on the palette paper. Pounce the sponge into the paint and then on a clean area of the palette. When you look at the bottom of the sponge it should be covered by paint but you should still be able to see the texture of the sponge. Pounce the sponge onto the stamp and stamp onto the mixed media paper. The details should be easily seen and not be too dark. Wash over the entire area with transparent True Ochre. Allow to dry and stamp over this area with the Watch stamp using Raw Sienna. Cut to fit bezel. Coat with matte medium on both sides. Glue into the bottom of the bezel. Apply a small amount of glue in the two upper edges and bottom of the heart and add a small amount of Lux Mix. Mix the resin following the manufacturer’s instructions and pour to coat the image and glitter. Allow to harden overnight.
  2. Base coat small areas of a sheet of mixed media paper with Shimmering Silver and Royal Ruby. Stamp the Bird Gears once on the ruby section and once on the silver area with Lamp Black. Stamp the mechanical elements to the silver area. Cut out all images and apply one coat of matte medium to both sides of the images. Stamp the gears, the text Steampunk, and the bird with gears onto tracing paper with Lamp Black. Cut out as close as the edges as possible. Glue the silver mechanical elements to the right side of the heart, the cogs, and the images on tracing paper into position referring to the photo. Allow glue to dry and add a small amount of resin to cover these items. Allow to dry over night.
  1. Cut out the bird with its wheels and head feathers and glue onto the first image aligning it. Cut out the silver wing and eye and glue it to the bird. Glue additional watch parts near the bears and the word Steampunk on the right side of the heart. Allow the glue to dry and fill the bezel with more resin. Allow to dry overnight.
