  1. Knead the clay so that it is soft and workable. Roll in a ball and roll the clay out using a rolling pin or acrylic roller to 1/4 inch in depth. Apply Text stamp onto an acrylic handle. Spray the Text stamp with a light mist of water and press firmly into the clay. Lift the stamp off the clay. Remove the large stack art kraftboard.  Use the negative space as a template to cut out the clay shape with an X-Acto Knife. Cut out a 1 inch square in the upper right hand corner of the shape using a shape cutter. Remove the square and roll to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with shape cutter and place back into the square hole. Roll another small piece of clay to 1/8 inch thickness, lightly press steampunk shoe  and cog stamps into the clay and cut out. place the clay clogs onto the clay ATC. Roll a small ball of clay and place on cogs. Slit an “x” with knife to create screw cap. Bake all shapes in a toaster oven according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Place shoe stamp onto a small acrylic handle. Dampen cosmetic sponge and remove as much water as possible. Pour a puddle of Lamp Black out on the palette paper. Pounce the sponge into the paint and then on a clean area of the palette. When you look at the bottom of the sponge it should be covered by paint but you should still be able to see the texture of the sponge. Quickly pounce the loaded sponge over the entire shoe stamp. Stamp it onto card stock paper. Repeat. Stamp the text “Click your heals” in the same manner. When using paint on stamps it is important that you do not overload the image. Immediately wash the stamp with soap and water. If any has dried use an old tooth brush to clean. The sponge can also be washed and reused.
  3. Use a small paint brush to paint the blue areas of the shoe and Click of the text with a wash of True Blue. The metal areas of the shoe are washed with Glorious Gold and Shimmering Silver. Paint the second shoe metal sections in the same manner. Cut out. Glue the shoe onto the shoe shaped clay. Add small watch parts and glue additional shoe metal parts.
  4. Thin Traditional Burnt Umber and wash over the clay ATC. Dry brush the metallic colors randomly over the ATC. Cut out the text to fit the square. Coat with all purpose glue on both sides of paper. Place into hole. Glue cogs, watch parts and shoe onto the ATC. Mix Ice Resin according to manufacturer’s instructions. Pour into the hole and brush over remaining ATC as a varnish. Allow to harden overnight.
