Double Glitter Technique

Double Glitter Technique

Glitter may also be used with metal stencils. The Double Glitter Technique produces a sparkly result that is very dramatic.
  1. Apply VersaMark ink to the back side of the metal stencil coating it thoroughly. This will act as a release agent to remove the stencil from the adhesive paper.
  2. Place a sheet of double-sided adhesive paper, cut to size, on your desired cardstock panel.
  3. Remove the backing sheet and save it.
  4. Place inked side of stencil on adhesive paper and press to make sure there is good contact between the paper and the stencil.
  5. Carefully add glitter in colors to desired areas of the stencil. Tip excess glitter off of project away from areas of open adhesive. Burnish each color into adhesive using the backing sheet.
  6. When stencil areas are all glittered, turn project upside down so the stencil is flat on the table and peel away the paper from the stencil.
  7. Apply a final color of glitter to the now open adhesive area to act as a background.
