Woodland Friends Owl by Alison Heikkila

  1. Stamp Owl on to Mixed Media Paper using Black Memento ink. Color using the Chameleon Pens listed above. Die cut using the coordinating die set. If you find that you have white edges showing, use a black brush tip pen (like Faber-Castell PITT pens) to add some black to the edges.
  2. Die Cut the Leafless Tree with Cafe Ole cardstock. Tap the die cut with Vintage Sepia ink to add dimension.
  3. Cut card base from Madras Blue to 6 1/2" x 10" and fold in half. Take the Leafless Tree stencil and place on the left side of the card base, taped in the vertical position. Using the 1/2" Stencil brush, apply Smokey Gray Versafine ink to the entire tree. Go back over some spots with Vintage Sepia to add variations in color. Stencil another card slightly higher on the right side of the card, keeping the inks lighter so that the tree appears to be further away.
  4. Ink the edges of the card with Versamark, and emboss using Clear Turquoise from the Summer Shine Kit.
  5. Die Cut the 1 3/4" x 3/4 " Fitted Frame with Mixed Media Paper, and color with Pear Tart ink. Stamp sentiment from the Forest Sayings set with Black Memento ink. Offset the sentiment slightly to the right. Glue down the die cut Leafless Tree with the tag slightly under the tree trunk. Now your sentiment won't appear offset.
  6. Die cut the Bobbler with Mixed Media Paper and affix to the owl using Glue Dots. Attach the owl to the card.
